It's like other games "Bomb/Defuse" mode except the bomb is a guy who can shoot back. The fact that we're always aware of when a point is being capped gives this massive tension.

I always felt Sandstorm truly shined in the tense final moments of Push matches that were so even both teams ran out of waves at the end cache. The frantic rushing then quickly turned into a careful game of hide n seek as players had one last chance to win or die. This entire mode is like that and I absolutely love it.

Just downloaded Insurgency last week. In one of my first days playing I was in a push match, it was last wave attacking and I was last man alive vs all 10 defenders and I somehow cleared all 5 defenders in the building and held the others out and secured the objective and gave my team 5 more waves. One of the most rewarding wins in a FPS I’ve had

Something I really love about Ambush is that there is absolutely no out-of-bounds areas. You can perform ridiculous flanks if you want to, but why would you want to when time is short and it's all about the objectives? Sometimes, the VIP realizes it's just him left and he's outside A, so he goes and does this long jog all the way around to B, finds it unguarded and escapes. That's totally fine! I only play Push because that's always populated in the Australian servers, but I was interested in seeing if the other game modes have no or few boundary areas and I'm pretty hooked on Firefight now.

Really been digging on this, I loved it in 2014, but always found myself playing Skirmish more, but now, I cannot get enough. I want more single elimination game modes, maybe a demolition or search and destroy, that would give competition a good mode to come back under. I really never cared for Firefight IMO. It just meant that no matter how good you played if your team didnt take enough objectives you'd be insanely out gunned.

I wish they'd add several more attachments, weapon mods and more performance based customization options. Although we are pretty squared away on optics, some different grips, tac lights with strobe, buttocks, different barrels for range i.e 1/7 twist-1/9 etc. As far as optics maybe an ACSS option on the ACOG. Wouldn't mind an FN 5.7 and Ruger 5.7 as another option for the pistols to defeat armor, maybe an S&W 500 or some micro-tonight carbine kit for the pistols. Either way, I love the game. Love the content. Keep up the good work brother.

Dude I love this game, ive been playing on console and love it. I'm depressed now tho because I clutched up on survival game mode and held extration point solo with just a Browning HP pistol and then my game crashed before I could see my stats or get the confirmation I played the game.

I think you may be premature in assessing that it will "take over" Sandstorm. Having now played it substantially since the release, the limits are really showing. I do believe that if they had the patience and interest (I don't think they do) they could make some tweaks that could really elevate it. /shrug Good video, as usual, though.

Definitely buy it, especially if there's still a sale. There's PLENTY of offline content and community servers with coop modes that can give you your run for your money with that alone. Survival, checkpoint, n some hardcore checkpoint servers out there are a lot of fun to kick back and run through

Tried ambush mode for couple of rounds... at first vip guy would just run into enemy and die in seconds. later another moron started to kill vip at the spawn. Devs should do some more adjustments for like distance limit for vip or a new class for close guards. Also team balance really bad. I frequently join games like all the 500+ ranked guys in one team and all the newbies in other team.

It's just leadership. If you have an idea push it, no buddy else is giving anything. The more you play the more you can refine your tactics and even if it doesn't work flawlessly or to plan it will get help people focus and potentially better the plan. I can admit though sometimes you do just get a braindead team

Make it 6v6 for competitive mode & add economy system I mean weapons buying stuff in every round like CS increase the rounds to 11 or 12 to win a map and half rounds for switching sides & and give the vip securing option only for one side not for both and as for the theme of this mode the vip escorting suits to security forces not to the insurgent then it will be so fucking damn competitive & fun to play
