Bianca didn’t know the entire story, and Erica never told her because she didn’t want to taint Bianca’s image of her father. She knew how important it was to have a good father/daughter relationship because she didn’t have one with her own father. She allowed herself to be the bad guy, even though there was so much more to what happened between Erica and Travis.

@@kaylove8663 Hold on cause this storyline got more twist and turns than spiral curls... LOL... Let me tell you what I can remember.... Erica fell in love with the future senator, Travis Montgomery. His ex-wife, Barbara Montgomery was the campaign manager. Erica and Travis fell in love and got married. Travis had some shady business and political dealings that led him and Erica to be in danger. Travis had debt, so to get money he got Steve to help him to fake his own death and kidnapping to get insurance money from Erica which went wrong and Bianca being kidnapped instead. Fearing for her and the baby safety Erica took baby Bianca and hid in another city to be surprised by Steve who tried to kidnap Bianca again, but Travis came and shot Steve and saved Erica and Bianca. Erica forgave him, but before they reconciled Travis got beaten and robbed which got him amnesia and thinking he still married to his ex-wife, Barbara and they had an affair and Barbara got pregnant. Cause of the amnesia Erica and Travis divorced then later Erica fell in love with Travis brother, Jack. When Travis realized the amnesia was cause of brain tumor and he needed surgery he tried to hide that to spare the family grief, but Erica tried to help him. Bianca got very sick and improved cause both her parents was there for her, so they remarried for Bianca's sake hoping to improve her health to be a family again even though Erica still had feelings for Jack. Barbara was pregnant and married Erica's ex-husband, Tom Cudahy. Barbara's baby, Molly Cudahy had leukemia and when the truth was Travis is the father and not Tom then to save the child Travis wanted to secretly conceive another child for a bone marrow match which they did and the new baby was a match to overcome leukemia. Erica upset of Travis infidelity got her in an affair with Jack again. Bianca saw them together and got furious and burn her doll house which caused a fire and got Erica in the hospital for smoke inhalation. When Travis found Erica in bed with Jack he sued for divorce and primary custody of Bianca which he won. Barbara and Tom divorced and she remarried Travis again. Eventually, Travis, Barbara and the children moved to Seattle Knowing the scars of being unloved and unwanted that Erica suffered cause her father's abandonment... Erica tried to spare and protect Bianca's from that including her health and feelings by not tainting Bianca's good image that she has of her father Travis by keeping alot of the stuff secret that Travis done in the past.

Sad how Larkin Malloy had so many issues that he couldn’t reprise his role for Mona’s funeral, etc. Daniel Hugh Kelly took over for a few episodes. LM returned in 2001 as Travis as a ghost.

Travis had to die because Bianca would have just went back to Travis if Erica didn’t like her being gay. Travis already knew, we eventually found out.

She usually does. And she handled some deep storylines. Being Erica's daughter was definitely a tough role. She was anorexic, a proud lesbian, got pregnant from being raped, lost her father, has a broken older sister, and has the biggest narcissist in town for a mother. Did I miss anything? LOL!

I lost my own dad suddenly of a heart attack due to medical malpractice by the VA over 30 years ago and he was only 67 years old. He was by no means ready. I never got to say goodbye to him just a SEE YOU LATER 3 days before. I still miss him and he and I were real close. He was a WWII Veteran. I love you Dad and miss u.

Travis had to die becaue that prevented Bianca from going back to him when Erica found out she was gay. Also, Larkin Malloy was mentally unstable and his temp replacement, Daniel Hugh Kelley, did not work out. LM and Travis were seen again in '01 in heaven, though.......
