Tad warns Edmund that he shouldn't make the same mistake - Brooke and Tad both settled for second best when they got married, Tad thinks it would be wise for Edmund to not slip a ring on Maria's finger if she isn't the real deal. As much as I like Brooke English, neither she or Dixie were innocent here. Dixie got the ball rolling when she became Adam's concubine and together they conceived Adam, Jr. Then during Tad & Dixie's separation, Brooke became Tad's paramour and together they had Jamie. As much as I also loved Tad Martin the fact that he wed Brooke was a fiasco in hindsight. Marrying the mother/father of your child just to "give the child a name" is a ridiculous excuse because in the case of Tad/Brooke he never loved her in that way. Which brings me to my next point I can't for the life of me fathom why a self-respecting, modern woman like Brooke would demean herself by attempting to get pregnant a second time by a philandering husband? As for Dixie, were you really "apologizing" or was your encounter more about rubbing your indiscretion in Brooke's face?

Brooke was always better off with Edmond, I swear they put Edmond and Maria together because The two actors decided to get married. No disrespect it’s just how I feel about it in retrospect.

Tad and Dixie were in love from the first time they met. I watched this show from the beginning. They did change Dixie’s character . Brooke started out as a teenage rebel . I watched this show from the beginning. Disney RUINED this show in the 2000s.

I never understood Brooke forgiving Dixie the first time she cheated with her husband. At the time Adam. Even worse that time given Brooke had just suffered the loss of her daughter. Dixie was never the heroine they tried to write her as.

The irony is neither intends to hurt the other yet that always seems to happen.Dixie has sex with Adam while he's married to Brooke.Brooke gets pregnant with Tad's child and tries to conceal that fact to "protect" Dixie.

These scenes crystalize why I was never a Tad/Dixie fan. I've always hated them as a couple and I never much cared for them as individual characters. They're too self-righteous, sanctimonious and they truly believe they are morally superior to others when they are basically a bunch of annoying hypocrites.

@@jade2078 Edmund was only sanctimonious when he married StMaria. Before that, Edmund was a great, flawed, multi-layered character. They wrote Brooke all over the map. She was my favorite female character on the show. It's just they sometimes wrote her tough, then weak, then independent, then needy....all over the map. writing her like that when she originally fell in love wth Tad. Ahh..but I loved Brooke/Edmund.

Exactly. Tad never loved Brooke. Brooke said that herself. She said Tad was never hers. They had an affair and a child was conceived. They should have never gotten married. Then she wanted another baby with Tad and he didn't. She couldn't forgive Edmund and chose Tad. Bad mistake. She made her bed. And Tad can't be faithful to anyone. Not even Dixie.

Brooke needs to shut up. Telling Dixie she doesn't want to talk about Dixie being a sore winner. She did the same thing to Dixie asking her if she wanted to talk about her marrying Tad. Give me a break. Palmer was right, bad mistake marrying him in the first place. Tad isn't husband material from anyone. Hecheated on Dixie with Liza. Tad can't be faithful to anyone. Tad and Dixie were separated when Brooke had an affair with him. And Dixie is definitely no Saint. They just keep sleeping with each others partner. Absolutely sickening.

Exactly. Brooke slept with more men than she married. Even her own son called her out on it when he was married to Liza. Yuck. Another marriage disaster. So she sleeps with basically every newcomer that comes to town.
