Well, around these parts it is Team Brooke! I actually started to hate Tad around this time, he played on Brooke's fears, her inability to trust once she was betrayed, and ultimately made it hard to root for Tad/Dixie this round. And don't even get me started on how Brooke/Edmund were trashed to make Dixie/Tad seem sympathetic and make Edmund's instant relationship with Maria seem plausible.

Ultimately, it was David Canary - who put an end to the Brooke/Edmund coupling, mostly because he went to Agnes Nixon and asked her to insure that Brooke & Adam were the "endgame" - since he felt that Brooke - like Stuart - was Adam's conscience and that Brooke was Adam's true soul-mate. Eventually (which viewers of the ill-fated web continuation of AMC watched) Brooke did marry Adam and she became something of an "Aunt Phoebe-like" talk-to - character. Another bit of backstage info - David Canary was Agnes "pet" - her golden child - so to speak (and his five Emmy wins helped to garner him that status) and he carried more "clout" than even Susan Lucci - with her.

What??? Wow, my mind is blown. I am torn between Brooke/Adam or Brooke/Edmund. But in terms of endgame, I tend to agree with David Canary. He and Julia Barr were just beyond words perfect together. Where did you get this info about DC approaching Nixon on this? I always assumed Brooke and Edmund were broken up because of the timing w/the fans had made Maria a more popular choice. After the 1995 reunion, why did AMC wait until 2010 to get Adam and Brooke back together?

@@deuxjournalistes2993 Kelly Ripa has been pretty vocal about AMC - especially her love and great friendship for DC - and she doesn't hold back - especially when she's had a one too many on Andy Cohen's talk show.

I remember watching this in jr high and wanting to beat Dixie with a stick for blurting that out. That was BROOKE'S news to share, and Dixie had no business telling Tad like that. Then again, I've always hated Dixie with a fiery passion.

I don't even remember why I wrote that lol. I think what I hated wasn't Brooke herself. I love Brooke. I think I just hated that she threw a good thing away with Edmund just because she felt she had to marry Tad just because he's the father of her brat. Even in 1993, nobody really did shot gum marriages anymore. 93 wasn't THAT long ago. We all know kids are not enough to keep two ppl who doesn't love one another together. It's Tad I didn't really care for. he should've just stayed dead!

I echo this comment! LOL! I liked Tad for comic relief. In my humble opinion, in general, I thought Michael E. Knight was a weak actor. He lacked the skills Julia Barr and John Callahan had/have. The character of Tad lacks maturity and depth, and when Brooke tried discussing the marriage proposal, Tad had nothing to say....he didn't have enough intelligence in his head..so he did what he does best, he grabbed Brooke and kissed her. Do not get me started on how angry Brooke made me when she responded to his kiss and eventual marriage proposal!!

Exactly. I was just thinking that a day or two ago. I can't remember what soap and what couple/non couple but what I hate is when a woman wants to be reassured of whether a man loves her or not and he doesn't respond and just kisses her and carries her off to bed like that just makes everything hunky dorey. AH THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE ASKED YOU YOU NIMROD. ANSWER HER YES OR NO. Coz you can kiss a person and it not mean nothing, you can screw the hell out of someone til kingdom come and it still don't mean nothing. If a person is in a relationship, words and actions are useless, the person needs to be SHOWN that the person loves them. If a man is too lazy to show the woman he supposedly loves that he loves by proving it, then that is no relationship(pt.1)

(pt 2) And I agree MEK is a weak actor and Tad is VERY childlike. Even here where's he's well into his 30's. ME ME ME is all I hear. Brooke has ALWAYS been a very intelligent woman and she has proven that she will not be treated any less than the best by a man and that is why I applaud Brooke. She is strong beautiful smart has sass and class. Even Erica never really grew up in her 41 years on the show. I mean look how Brooke ended her marriage to Adam when he found out how he shacked up with Dixie. It was hard for her but she stood her ground and I admire her guts. That is why she is my fave. And then when it comes to Dixie? I don't know your feelings on her but I recall reading an old episodes magazine where Dixie was chosen in a survey where the question was "Who would you choose as your best friend?" Really? Ppl would really want to be best pals with Dixie after Brooke, who was always friendly with Dixie, was rewarded for her hospitality by stealing TWO of Brooke's husbands? tad and Dixie are so immature. Brooke was even civil to Barbara after the accident that took Laura's life(Barbara wasn't deliberately to blame even though if the situation was diff she'd still be alive depends on how ppl look at it) Brooke fought to keep Tom and Barb together. I think Brooke should be chosen as best friend. She deserves a metal! it sure served Dixie right when Glo came along and had sex with Dixie's husband Craig. Whew! I'm done.

I hated Tad w/Dixie!!! Dixie was so annoying. (In the minority on this), but I didn't like Brooke with Adam!!! He always treated her like a procession not a love. I loved the actor who played Adam. I just did not like Adam w/Brooke. Edmond w/Maria was a waste of air time. They had no chemistry together. I actually liked Brooke w/Tad or Jack. I even liked her with Edmond. Brooke came out of her needy shell and stood up for herself when she was away from Adam.

I liked her with Adam, I loved his character but I didnt like how he betrayed Brook with Dixie, And that disloyal child him and Dixie produced was not even worth him losing Brook.Brook was the best most loyal wife Adam had and he knew that he lost a good thing. Tad was way to much of a hypocrite for me.

I never understood Erica's distaste for Brooke. She couldn't have been jealous. Erica got almost everything on a silver platter. Brooke always had to work her butt off....even to have a relationship. Men just flocked to Erica like she was a princess. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Ohhhhhh, this brings back how much I despised Edmund. I hadn't started despising Brooke just yet, but she and Edmund ultimately deserved each other. They always knew what was best for everyone else, stubborn and self-righteous.
