AMD RX 5700 XT Cooling HACK.
Modifying 5700 XT to run cooler thus perform better and make less noise. If you bought the Founders Edition AMD graphics card this is the video for you. We gonna run it through its paces. Modify stock cooler as well as replace it altogether. Then we will compare results with the stock cooling solution. "How to" and "Why would you".
AMD really shacked things up with the Navi launch. RX 5700 and RX 5700XT compete nicely with RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super. Not to mention Overclocked RX 5700XT gets very closely to RTX 2070 territory. Does it have a chance with the original cooling design in place?

Great idea to keep aircooling method but Can you add special cooling heatsinks with pads for the memory modules to make it better ?

He can and he should. If he uses Accelro IV it also comes with a backplate which helps a lot.

3600X Needs a Bios update on that board that is why the 2600 booted right up without changing anything else. Sprinkle coke on it. That usually helps.

Thank you!! Is there any chance you'll do a video on how to apply heatsinks (or whatever is necessary) to mosfets, VRM, and GDDR6? And then check memory temps to see the difference.

I have the 5700 xt nitro+ hitting 95+ degrees when gaming, I know it's within "spec", but I am too worried about it. 22 degrees ambient temperature

I suggest to play a battle in World of Tanks on Ultra settings and obseve temps. In my PC this is the only game that pushes junction temp of my Radeon 113 Celsius degs. No other game is doing this, even Death Stranding on highest settings.

I used the same Cooler on a Vega 56 and added the memory and mosfets sinks. I honestly don't trust the thermal tape. I feel like a heatsink might fall anytime. 0_o Love the cooler, hate the sinks. ^_^

Hahaha they won't I promise! Vega has HBM2. You sure it was memory? Maybe controller?

@@GeorgeTech LOL, true. I put them on the mosfets and other parts, but damn, there are a few located where you usually see memory chips. That one slipped, bad, yet the point is that the ram-sinks with the thermal tape really make me nervous. ^_^

Yours is not blower style. Something is wrong with the fan profile or the card itself. I would just RMA. Unless it's junction temp you're taking about then you're fine.

George Tech YT the two temps appear pretty close to each other 90/105 the ambient temperature where I live it's around 30 digrees I'm just searching for a solution, more fans, liquid cooling or something

Gotcha. 90/105 is within AMD spec and also pretty good for 30C ambient. How's your case airflow?

@@GeorgeTech I search a little and see some people complain about the case but my CPU is a i5 8400 and it dosent run hot, only the graphic card goes that hot

You still within the specification. So no worries there. If you wanna boost longer or overclock that's a different story.
