The Ryzen 7 5800x is "ZEN-3" not { ZEN-4 }. [ ZEN-4 ] CPU's would be for example ( Ryzen 7 " 7500x " any CPU's start with a 5 in the name is Zen-3.

I guess it all goes back to features available. Personally i wanted to get rx 6800xt but i wanted to do streaming, so it is kinda hard to choose radeon there despite its raw power. Another reason that might be the case (people not choosing amd gpu), maybe because we dont see a lot of build that uses radeon. Atleast not for me, i tend to see a lot more people using nvidia for builds (i tend to look at streamer setup). But if radeon encoder is as good as nvidia i would probably go radeon because its more affordable for rx6000 generation atleast compared to rtx 30. (Still expensive)
