Any thoughts on the desktop 8700G coming out soon? I believe it should perform similarly but perhaps better due to the higher cooling and power capacity 🤔. Also faster ram running in full speeds at Dual channel + the new AMD frame generation should benefit it well.

Looking for those answers too. What I found so far: 1. It can be OC'ed to 3150mHz, 2. Memoryspeed + Tight timings = a win. Some games should see a lot of profit there, more than just OC'ing. 3. A low profile RX6400, 3050 (or the newer 4060) out performs it (the last one a lot!) whilst not adding a lot of volume to the case.

Lucked out on the shot TBH, hardly ever play CS2 nowadays. Regarding the FPS, we've started to add low graphics setting mode with the newer videos. Not low res, mind that'd be crazy. The 8845HS is pretty much a refresh of the 7840HS (same speeds but with more AI incorporated). We got around 120FPS in CS2 at LOW settings 1080p. Check here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH61aHh9mN6mars

For new users, they'd download it as we did. Downloading an older version to play on a new system is more like an optimization hack.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Yakuza 6, but if this chip can handle it at 1080p medium settings, it should be able to perform really well for Yakuza 0 (my favourite out of the entire series). I have a 980 ti which is great for 1080p gaming, but my PC makes so much noise even when I turn off the case fans and all in one cooler. I'm actually using a Mele Quieter 2 more than my gaming PC just because it's totally silent. I'm hoping to get a passively cooled Akasa case for the 8000 or 9000 series chips. Then I'd be able to have silence with the same level of performance I'm used to...I hope. You and Jean Luc Picard will inform my purchasing decisions.

A fav of mine too. Hostess bar management sim ftw! I think this GPU is around a similar level to the 1060 / 1650 or so. Have you tried flipping fans / thermal paste on your pc btw?

@@TeamPandory Yes, sorry, John Luke, the guy with the second in command called Commander Raker. He's always seen raking gardens. Captain Picard voice: "There he goes, rummaging around in a big bush." I knew Yakuza 0 was my favourite when the harshest criticism I could come up with was, "The bikini catfight minigame is rigged!" The PC noise seems to be coming from two places. One of the fans on the AIO makes a slightly higher pitched hum than usual, and that's combining with the louder noise from the power supply fan, and it sounds like the fan's bearing might be failing. That's a reason I've been looking up mini PCs (since many have silent power bricks), passive cooling, and such.

The video is only relevant for this box. I have 3 laptops with 7840hs (honor, lenovo, xiaomi) - fps is 20-30% lower than in the video + wild frametime (freezes, etc.). - Dota 2 45-55fps on 1900x1200 + bestlooking (like at video). Cs2 60-100 fps low setting

It's a ballpark, but regarding your situation the performance totally depends on the sum of all parts. Laptops may be built for endurance regarding battery life, and even then if it's not cooled properly you can get sluggish performance (which we demonstrated in our geekom A7 review) You may want to try lowering power settings in bios if it's set to "performance" if you're getting freezes. Higher clock speeds means a hotter computer. By the way, we used 1080p which is 1920*1080 resolution in Dota 2.

With all settings on ultra fortnite surprisingly is one of the more demanding games out there. At 1440p and everything as high as it can go,fortnite will put most systems on its knees if your goal is 120fps stable
