I got my son a intel a380 for Christmas, his old rx 580 actually did better in most titles. We returned it and got one of these for the same price. EDIT: Then, we found a 1070 TI that was in a surplus pre-built and decided to keep the 5500 in the box so if anyone is looking for one ....lol 🤣

I ran a rx 5500xt 8gb card from 2019-2022 and loved it. I did upgrade to a 3060 12gb but damn was it good. And actually recently snagged one of of Newegg for a pc I’m building for my dad for his birthday

Same here, only last year I scored an h97i-plus w a 4770k for 45 bucks after picking up an xfx rx 5500xt 4gb version for 50 bucks the same week to replace my dead eluktronics laptop lol, still daily driving it and its not any worse measurably than a laptop 7700hq + 1050ti and Im happy with that hahaha

@@rccorcoles7082 I haven't used the 3050 but the 5500 xt boosted me up into the 100 fps range over the 40-60 I was getting with the 580. originally I had a 75 hz monitor and the 580 was struggling, currently running a 120 hz monitor and the 5500xt is keeping up.

I have an i5-12400F PC that I built several years ago. I had used a GTX 1060 6GB in it I'd had on hand from an old Haswell PC. All I play is World of Warcraft at 1440p. The fan died on the GTX 1060 and I found a new RX 5500 XT 8GB a few weeks ago for only $77 shipped on Mercari. It was brand new with the shrink wrap still on the box. It's perfect for the job - better performance than the GTX 1060. I'm able to max the settings with no AA and it rarely drops below 50 FPS and is usually 90+ FPS. Very happy with it.

This is not an underrated card , everybody knows that it is quite strong for 1080p gaming but the problem is that you need a motherboard that supports pci express 4.0 If you use it on older motherboard it performs quite a bit worse.

Not necessarily, a lot of people thought this was just an RDNA RX 580 (myself included). It's quite overlooked too. I'm not sure if it would fully saturate a PCIe Gen 3 x8 slot. It is some testing I can do.

I would recommend a CPU which supports PCIe gen 4. Something like a modern i3 12100F would be an excellent pairing. But if you wanted to use an older processor like a 6th gen i7 or something, that would be ok too.

I’d recommend pairing it with the i7 4770. And make sure your motherboard supports PCIe gen 3. I believe the H chipset boards for Haswell were 2nd gen.

Hey need your guys help I've an issue with my rx5500xt the core clock on it stays on 100 MHz, whatever I do it remains the same on idle in games. Due to this reason I'm facing Fps issues. Also my card is getting 26-27 Waltz, I've tried to overclock it change it's settings from the software nothings seems to effect problem is still there. I've changed its bios also done a hard reset.

had a rx5700xt mech oc, like it but not the best exp, i play in 1440, it makes consistent 60 fps on mid-high, so it's alright, but the temperatures, god, before i changed thermal interface, it was fuckinh horrible, but after buying expensive asf thermal grizzly pads, the problem is gone, in games it's 105 hotspot, and 55-65 vram

ANY 1660 will take a dump on this card from a very high height even with only 6g Vram. My mate is pulling his hair out with this card atm and he should of listen to me when he was doing the build 3 years ago and he would of been a lot happier with the 1660.
