The old ways were forgotten! No only that they were destroyed! If this was 200 yrs ago, all these tribes coming together wouldn't even enter into their minds. The old ways were a fearful time. Now look hard at this vid, children of your tribe celebrating life and the creator with children from a tribe 1000 miles away. How many drummers of different heritage are there in the circle? I can still run in the mountains and leave my footprint where the earth is at peace, just like you. Something's good are being reborn in the wonderful eyes of children and the melancholy hearts of the elders and the mantle that the family leaders must struggle with. Keep it extreme and live with honor👍

Personally, I can't get through the strains of "Caoineadh Cu Chulain" on uiellan pipes (bet you got NO clue what that is) without choking up a bit. But soul music is soul music, wherever you're from. Some of us (like Paul), are smart enough, and fair and strong enough, to MULTITASK appreciation for others, and we know it doesn't take away from anyone else. @@derwinokeynan7215 Shalom, Salam, Peace. Quran [Last Testament] 1. Glory to Him who journeyed His servant by night, from the Sacred Mosque, to the Farthest Mosque [King Solomon's Temple, Outside Time And Space], whose precincts We have blessed, in order to show him of Our wonders. He is the Listener, the Beholder [Muhammad]. 2. And We gave Moses the Scripture, and made it a guide for the Children of Israel: Take none for protector other than Me. 3. The descendants of those We carried with Noah. He was an appreciative servant. 4. And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture: You will commit evil on earth twice, and you will rise to a great height. 5. When the first of the two promises came true, We sent against you servants of Ours, possessing great might, and they ransacked your homes. It was a promise fulfilled. 6. Then We gave you back your turn against them, and supplied you with wealth and children, and made you more numerous. 7. If you work righteousness, you work righteousness for yourselves; and if you commit evil, you do so against yourselves. Then, when the second promise comes true, they will make your faces filled with sorrow, and enter the Temple as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy all that falls into their power. 8. Perhaps your Lord will have mercy on you. But if you revert, We will revert. We have made Hell a prison for the disbelievers. 9. This Quran guides to what is most upright; and it gives good news to the believers who do good deeds, that they will have a great reward. 10. And those who do not believe in the Hereafter-We have prepared for them a painful punishment. 11. The human being prays for evil as he prays for good. The human being is very hasty.

Traditions and Cultures that are so important to our history, I don't care what you ethnic background is. It is so important to always keep them at the forefront of who we are as a people. Beautiful to see. It makes me so proud to see them display their native costumes with such pride. It gives me good chills.

I'll say this The Indians knew how to live! They kept everything together in their villages. Peaceful beautiful people tight knit families.they had the best family life.its a horrible shame what we as white people did to them, such harmonious ppl. I love watching the grand entry it stirs something in me. Ibgrt emotional watching. The beautiful regaliadumbfounds me how they made such majestic costumes for their dance. I especially fond of the grass dancers. Thanks for posting this! Brings back good memories. Much love... Lee in oklahoma

This was SO MOVING to See SO MANY FULLY- ATTIRED NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS in THEIR INDIVIDUAL NATIVE AMERICAN UNIQUE ARTIRE - OF ALL AGES, COMING TOGETHER - DANCING IN ONE POW-WOW…..ROW AFTER ROW, BEAUTY AFTER BEAUTY, HISTORY AFTER HISTORY, ….SUCH GRACE & AUSTERE LIKE YOU’LL SEE NO WHERE ELSE AGAIN…..RESPECT… ….PATIENCE & RHYTHM…MUSIC.. ……RAINBOW OF COLORS… MOVING IN HARMONY ….🌈 ♥️ My mother was ashamed of my native American Indian roots and refused to discuss it with me but I could always feel good in my soul, in my heart….It pulled me like the waters of the river stream moving slowly and then faster as I got older. I didn’t understand it but I found myself being comforted by the books in the library, first in high school and middle school. both, secretly sneaking them home. Then, college where I was away from her eyes and punishments, …… A bigger library and more information and I found myself Flying Freer With Knowledge…I moved closer to Oklahoma in Kansas. And that was just the beginning of my POW-WOW’s & REAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ! I began to go to as many Pow-Wows as possible, all across the southern south west portion of the United States clear down to Arizona. Nobody cared about the heat… We were one minded in the purpose of celebrating the native American history, knowledge, and joy of being Native American Indian~ FREE - …..IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT! It is Unexplainable the Feelings which take place at a powwow!❣️🌈It’s beyond just saying it’s a connection with a Spirit God, or A reunion of tribes and friends and relatives; it’s greater than saying it’s history reconnecting… It’s nothing you can say with words!’n YOU HAVE TO FEEL IT❣️ YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE IT YOURSELF❣️❣️YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ITS IMPORTANCE & IT’S PURPOSE❣️❣️❣️ YOU HAVE TO WALK THE POW-WOW PATH & DANCE TO TRULY UNDERSTAND❣️❣️❣️❣️ THANK YOU FOR THIS OVERWHELMINGLY BEAUTIFUL VIDEO~ I can’t begin to express the emotions I have right now….Except to tell you that everyone looks so fantastically beautiful and amazing and I was so proud and in tears to see all of the splendor & the history Presented by the thousands that showed up today at your powwow and I couldn’t help but dance with you in my home as you all came in, one-by-one, Chief after Chief, tribe after tribe, Man after Man, Princess after Princess, Mother with her Child, Young Ladies So Proudly Following their Mothers….Such a Such to BEHOLD & REVERE❣️❣️I shall NEVER forget it ~ I SHALL TAKE IT TO MY GRAVE❣️❣️🌈 I THANK YOU❣️

Some of the most memorable moments of my childhood was attending demonstrations like this by our local native tribes in Florida. We all wanted to be natives after witnessing the events. ❤️

I could not stop watching (X3) nor did I want to, the sights and sounds conjured up my thoughts of another time ( or the possibility of ) without today's burdens, divide, hate troubles, destruction, and pain, a tribe of many tribes while different but the same yet emerged in one praise, dance and song while to the same beat calling out for the same end from the many different paths. This is a perfect example of the common ground of many world tribes, we must find a common ground not hate and war.

This is the most inspiring dancing. Always had respect and admiration for the way First Nations people appreciated & respected the land and all of the animals we share this planet with. I think they have a spiritual connection to the Earth that i also feel.

I agree with you grandma Michelle,I love and enjoy watching powows and listening to indigenous music cds but my cd player stopped working so I have to go buy a new one.My condolences thoughts and prayers are with the deceased indigenous children and their families that went through the residential schools and what the catholic priests and nuns did to them.I had tears in my eyes when I found out that all the children went through it just breaks my heart, sad that those horrible aweful things happened to them. What is going to happen to the unmarked graves and will the deceased children be brought back to their tribal bands for proper burial?
