Dude, this is new year in Tibetan Areas beside the one celebrate in Tibetan Autonomous Region and in exile. In another word, exile losar and Lhasa losar are not the only losar. There are other losars depending on location and environment. Grow up! This is not a Chinese creation for political end. It is just the result of using the same astrology. It is also not just Chinese new year, it is Korean New Year, Taiwanese new Year, Malaysian New Year, Vietnamese New Year! Cultural Tibet has divergent cultural expressions, it shows richness, it is not a to-down imposed monolithic pale and dull culture of single entity that CCP and Tibetan exiles try to make in their pursuit of political agenda. Let rejoice diversity and try to appreciate diversity which is part of larger framework of Tibetan culture. Exiles need to grow up and face the reality, look beyond Lhasa Centric views on everything, from history to politics, economics to education, language to dialects, custom to way of thinking. Grow up!
