I'm guessing a chicken shop date goes for about an hour so they can chop it up into an episode. She comes to Late Night and it's several hours of prep and pre-production but then just 8 minutes with the host - probably felt like 4 or 5 minutes to the person in the chair, so it can feel like a long lead up to a momentary interaction hehe.

Talk show guest segments are so so short. Conan has said since starting the podcast how different it was, talking for an hour, it's really nice. 8 minutes you come up, plug the thing and that's it.

Something forced onto them, that in a lot of cause came with hatred. online audiences want to view our celebrities, see them talk, get to " know them" , Traditional media outlets mick that, but its all a marketed rehearsal. Which is probably why they lost numbers with the younger gens.

If she started it 10 years earlier by somehow landing a show on a tv network it would have ran only in the uk and for two seasons and forgotten about. But allowing it to grow in environment the creator has total control over has turned her into an international household name. Wild to think how much KZbin has impacted the media landscape.

I don't actually know about the UK but in Ireland 'chicken' is a pet name like 'love' or 'darling'. Its more common in certain areas of Dublin but also an older generation! I grew up being called 'my little chicken' by both my parents!
