Correction on Dry Fit!! - Dry Fit doesn't soak up the sweat - it "wicks" the moisture which means because of the way the fabric is constructed - the outer layer of the fabric actually draws the moister to the surface of the fabric which allows the garment dry faster - keeping you more comfortable ;) It's a way of knitting a mostly poly material since poly (unlike cotton & other natural fibers) actually doesn't "soak up" sweat.

My 'story' is like yours: I've been a horse rider for 5 years but I gave up because of school, the huge amount of money, the distance... I used to practice show jumping and I was so good at that, so I perfectly feel you when you say that you would have liked to pursue the experience. AND the smell of horses that stays impressed on your hands, the sound of hooves, the amazing and beyond words feeling is something that we can't easily forget because is something we've been used for so long that still has a special connotation to us! I get all emotional when I'm around horses these days too. It makes me remember my horses from childhood and teen years and I miss them all over again. I think it's that glorious horsey smell that does it!! So teary rides they are - so embarrassing really as people think I'm scared!!!!

I really like the smell of horses too. I grew up riding and don't get to ride much now either. There is a horse stable near my house though, and when I get a whiff of it, it makes me very nostalgic! Glad you had some horse time!

Don't worry Amelia, you're not the only one who loves the smell of horses! I would have a horse scented candle if I could. but seriously this is one of my favorite vlogs of yours yet because I can relate to it so much. Horses are the one thing I HAVE to have in my life or I feel such a void. When I went to University I had to stop riding and I used to get so emotional even talking about horses and I would cry every time I did get to be around them because I missed it so much. So right after I graduated I bought another one and now I live in a barn and take care of mine plus the 40 others that board there! so safe to say the horse scent vibes are real :)

I used to teach kids to ride horses for several years during the summers, yet none of my recent friends know that I worked with horses. Kind of like a special secret about me :) . Love the smell of them too, know its gross, but its just so relaxing being around them/smelling them!

I totally understand the way you feel about riding, watching your vlog made me so nostalgic, I used to ride a lot but since a few years I didn't take the time to ride and from time to time it makes me really sad. There's such a great connexion between a horse and a rider. I wish one day I'll have time to have my own horses at home, but when you're studying, you don't really have the time... I love horses and used to ride when I was younger on trails. I always wanted a horse. I heard about a place here in the US where you can ride on the beach. There are also some that run wild on the East coast beach areas. That is my next vacation adventure :)

I think we fellow horse crazy ladies can totally relate to the smell thing!! I exercise a few horses for a lady who has health issues but doesn't want to sell her babies. I should say I *did* because as soon as I found out I was pregnant I had to stop. I still have my dirty paddock boots and once in a while I go and open my riding bag and get a big whiff haha!! My husband knows all about my crazy. I feel you, girl. My due date is a week from today and after my son is born, the next best thing I'm looking forward to is getting back in the saddle after 10 months!
