Hi Amelie! NYC downtown is very hectic! Next time stay in the Upper East Side (especially Carnegie Hill). Go to the Carlyle or The Mark Hotel. It's incredibly peaceful and tranquil walking down 5th, madison, and park avenues in the 70s and 80s streets. Completely different vibe

Awesome work with the Jouer line! NYC is definitely a powerfully chaotic world in itself. Coming from Philadelphia which is kind of like NYC lite. It truly seems like the whole North East of the U.S. is a little more wired and unapologetically intense on some level. Hey girl! NYC can be very charming and peaceful depending on where you go! Stay away from mid-town and if downtown try to stay close to Greenwich Village. If you go past the 70's on the UES or UWS there is a different vibe that you might enjoy more!
