I am old. Old Ranger. Old cop. Old armorer, both Army & Police. Old gunsmith. Old school. I do not own plastic pistols. I do not use plastic magazines. I use metal mags... I have had Magpul (Pmag Gen 2 and Gen 3), Hexmag, and Amend 2. Key word is "Had" .. All swelled, or began to develop feed lip issues, or would cycle poorly and double feed. Seldom would they drop from release with gravity alone. They needed help... I did not keep them, and awarded them to my neighbor who loves plastic stuff. He's happy.. I use steel or aluminum mags only. They do one thing very well. Function. Now if that clasifies me as a Fudd in the eyes of the younger guys, fine. I'm not effected by names. I've been around a long time, and called everything under the sun. Thanks for your reviews that you do. I realize that your time is limited with a busy work schedule, and it means much to your subscribers and viewers. 👍

@anangryranger absolutely! If it works, it works. For some strange reason, I still like the sound of a metal mag when it is slapped into a mag well.

They have the polymer body with steel lips (Lancer mags) and they are pretty sweet dude! I am also a fan of metal mags however!!

I'm a fan of the products from Mission First Tatical and have their Minimalist stock and polymer quad rail handguard on my only AR weapon. Excellent fit and performance. With that said MFT had a sale a few months ago and I bought one of their polymer 30 round mags to try. Though I don't like polymer, I'm not closed minded in reality. I loaded 30. Ran the mag in my weapon and function was fine. Then I loaded 30 and set it aside to see if it deformed. Four months and zero swelling or any flexing at all. I'll give it two more months and see. It appears to be quite stout.

@@anangryranger I’ll have to check it out!

@@scarbarber2129 Yes sir, this mag is made different. It's thicker, and when it was empty I about wore myself out trying to make the mag flex. I could barely get any flex anywhere. I'm being optimistic, but this one is really tough. I'll know in a couple of months if I made a good choice. I'll come back here then and let you know what I found. 👍

I got one mod 2 years ago and left it loaded when I went to use is it was not pushing the rounds up fast enough so there would not be a round in the chamber. You could push it down with your finger and it would just slowly rise back up.

Think the big issues on the mod 2 were thin feed lips. As in, if you left them loaded in your car in the heat they were useless. Don’t know about the mod 3 but would like to see that test.

I bought some amend2 glock mags for a friend for xmas ; not so good

Why does Amend2 continue to sale Mod2 mags when they know of issues?! I recently picked up five Special edition ones paid $26 each! All 5 exhibit the same problems! Failure to feed!

@jcardjc I often find myself asking the same question when companies do that. That is why I try my best to call these problems out, in hopes it makes the buyer aware and for the manufacturer to do some rethinking and retooling, if anything for the buyer's safety.
