indeed. He always said it in interviews that he wants to pull away focus from the 'lead singer'. Because lead singers always get all attention, this is not what Amenra stands for. Their quote on their shirts means: Stronger through friendship They are a whole and no one is bigger than the other

@RobbieNevens6 жыл бұрын
@JDSsmetje6 жыл бұрын
Hij shift continu tussen licht en duisternis. Letterlijk dan.
@erikterwal6 жыл бұрын

Does Colin's back tattoo have meaning? What is that symbol?
@godscoldhands776 жыл бұрын
askingforafriend - it's a symbol colin created, consisting of three other existing symbols. first one is the tau cross, which was the very first cross to crucify human beings. in the old jerusalem it was also used for 'goodhearted' people on the one hand and people who didn't have a good heart on the other hand. but i don't know if people were marked with that cross or how it was used exactly for that purpose. second one is the 'todesrune' (death-rune), the opposite to 'lebensrune' (life-rune), which colin describes as a symbol of death and the certainty of death for him. death is very important in his life, because no male in his family did ever get older than 50 years. they all died before or at the age of 50. he's totally aware of that he might got only a few years left until it's over for him, too. the third used symbol is an upside down gallow, which he describes as a symbol of shelter for his family, especially for his twin sons. colin also cut off both of his nipples a few years ago and get them preserved as a gift for his twin sons, so that they have still left a part of his body when he's gone - a part of the body his sons were made of. he said that he also could have cut off a finger or something else, but his nipples were the only parts of his body that made really sense to him.
@markvserik6 жыл бұрын
Wow thank you for that very elaborate answer, so there is definitely a lot of meaning behind the tattoo. Do you know why no male in his family has lived passed 50? How did they all die? That cutting your own nipples off is some intense shit! I probably would not want anyone's body parts though, no matter how much I loved them.
@peschi796 жыл бұрын
askingforafriend - those explanations were all detailed in an interview Colin did some years back by "PrettyInNoiseTV" (it's here on YT), he talks about the tattoos and a few other topics. Well worth watching.
@peschi796 жыл бұрын
My friend Aline Gorsen, a "memento mori" artist was the one who preserved Colin's nipples for him. She also prepared the stones that were later hung from hooks on Colin's body while he performed at the Mass VI release show. I was lucky enough to be at that show. Intense is an understatement!
