America is a nation, the history is there, its flag waves and its national anthem is played. Truly a nation of time.
@kidfox3971 Жыл бұрын
A nation that liberated Kosovo, Kuwait, South Korea, a country that put men on the moon, a country that commercialized the automobile and invented the airplane revolutionizing global travel and communication forever, a country that offers unparalleled personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution which no other nation in the world protects as we do, a counrty that despite being called racists hosts a higher quality of life for black Americans than any African country does for its own African citizens, a country that despite being falsely labeled as anti-Asian has Asian Americans as the wealthiest ethnic group, did you really have such a hard time figuring out how to finish thar phrase or do you just want to join the cool and edgy trend of hating a country you know nothing about? Or possibly, even worse, hating your own country?

As an American I have to correct some massive inaccuracies: 1. We had already been helping the allied powers in Europe long before joining in active conflict, whether it was sending them ships, planes, weapons, ammo, whatever. There's a reason we were called "the arsenal of democracy". I appreciate the way you portray it in WW1, not the myth that we "joined as it was about to end" but rather that we tipped a very wavering balance of power, though in WW2 completely leaving out the ginormous contributions we made in Europe is something I couldn't accept without saying something. Considering.... 2. The whole "muh school shootings" meme that ignorant foreigners are obsessed with is actually an EXTREMELY rare event, you've only tricked yourselves into believing they're common. Out of the 115,576 schools in the US, there may be 300 shootings in a year on a VERY high end (that's a 0.002% chance of one happening in your school, of which none has ever happened to me or anyone I know and I'm a 23 year old grad student in a Republican state with almost no gun restrictions thank god.) Actually what you nosey foreigners should be worried about is our street crime which, unlike our right to keep and bear arms, is something which our politicians don't have the Constitution to consider when acting upon. I live in the state of Tennessee and in our worst city, Memphis, you are more than 9 times more likely to be the victim of a violent crime (1 in 40) than you are to be in the same school as a mass shooting let alone to be a casualty in said shooting. Maybe instead of fighting against the people who live here to mock us and strip us of our rights, exactly what the Constitution was made to protect against, maybe you should take a stand with us against street violence that has been allowed to percolate because radical left wing politicians have sided with the criminals over our law enforcement. As they have in many other far more violent countries.

@@AceAnimations I understand, and again most of it was very good and accurate. I just think that it's best to provide all the positives of our history if all of the negatives are also going to be mentioned as the average person already has an unfairly skewed perspective of my country.
