As a young girl, my dream was to be a veterinarian, then that changed to an accountant as a teen, then in university I got a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Combinatorics and Optimization. I worked for a number of years as a computer programmer for Dehavilland Aircraft, quit to become a stay-at-home mom, and then went back to school to get my Teacher's Certificate (for high school math and computer science). At no point was I told that I couldn't do these things. I'm 63, so I guess this might be different for older women such as you?
