I remember watching an interview where the host asked him if he was quitting Busted, over Fightstar, and he said:''No, no, it's just a side project with a bunch of my mates.'' I think them failing at breaking America made him leave.

we all know that charlie hated the pop image and i know america would have made alot of money however was a bad move for the band. but charlie was already going behind busted's back and making songs for fightstar.

I didnt mean it like they didnt know about it, because james wasnt every happy with him doing it which lead to alot of tension in the later stages of busted, im with you on failing america helped him leave. I look at it now like if twitter was around then maybe they would have broke through like bands now are doing. Also the pop punk movement was strong and they would have gain fans through them.

Yeah, it's a shame. They could've become one of the best bands in the world. Unfortunately everything unfolded the way it did. :( Not that I don't like Charlie's solo stuff, I'm just sorry James and Matt never had major success afterwards.

That's exactly the problem with the music industry still....where do they fit in? there a mesh of every thing....Thats good at least try you dnt have to style and image every body...music shouldn't be about that....if you can write a good song and play it well you should be given a chance....it shouldn't matter if you wear differen't clothes to the latest trends or have a normal immageno wonder other musicians dnt take this style of music seriously....
