I was just recently on vacation in Europe with some family, and I’ve got to say that the infrastructure there totally beats what we have here. We drove along the autobahn, and it was the smoothest highway I have ever been on. We also rode a train from Munich to Vienna, and we were going close to 180 mph. I also saw freight trains going pretty fast too. Washington has really got to wake up, and start investing in America instead of other countries. Bridges and roads are crumbling, railroads are obsolete, airports are congested, and we only have one high speed rail line that very briefly hits 150 mph. It makes me sick to see what kind of leadership we have, and how everything we spend goes directly to other places. It’s time to invest in fixing America

The bridges, rail are a bit better than in 2013. Giving a c and d, respectively, but Dams, water, and treatment weren't in that bill. I have two things... Most of our infrastructure was built within 20 years with a 50 yr expiration. The United States infrastructure is very very old and outdated. The estimated cost this guy says of 2.6 trillion dollars is a joke. For the United States to upgrade all infrastructure to modern technology and add high speed rails it would cost 96 -130 trillion dollars. That is a low estimate give or take inflation because it would take 50 years to complete. With the current debt on the government, inflation in the economy and the current collapse of failing companies downsizing it will never happen. You can blame capitalism and constant cost of living increases for the downfall of the United States. The demand for money created all the problems in the world including climate change. Capitalism created climate change and climate change created unbearable inflation with inconceivable debt.

@@me_sad China is still a disaster in a lot of areas, don't only look at the flashy propaganda stuff. The Netherlands is miles ahead of the rest of Europe and most of Europe is miles ahead of the USA. Why I say this, because roads are well maintained, you can safely walk and bycicle anywhere in the Netherlands, you can take reliable public transport that runs every 15 minutes or even more frequent depending on the area. It all connects too, you can park your car at urban trainstations, you have 10.000 to 20.000 bycicle parking spots in bycicle parking underneath trainstations in city centres. The train even drops you off underneath the airport. You have options to get around. We like roundabouts over traffic lights, but if traffic lights exist they are often smart, aware of traffic conditions. If you are on a byclicle and it is raining you get a faster green light in some intersections, if no other traffic is around your light turns to green before you have to break (for a car, bike,...), at least in most places. From what I have seen in the world it is simply the best, when driving a car, byclicle or when you use public transports.
