This is fantastic. The Bob Saget era of "AFV" is probably one of the best eras in the show's history. He always did a fantastic job with "AFV" in the 1990s.

You’re not just Whistlin Dixie there. This version of America’s funniest home videos was the absolute best. When I was a kid, I always looked forward to seeing the reruns on PAX 63 WIPX. And later as a teenager I was able to watch the reruns again on nick at night. I think the first time that I saw this show was one of the hundred thousand dollar episodes that originally aired on ABC.

AFV has been my favorite TV show since forever; not to mention that watching a good show like this one can be a great stress reliever, especially after a long day of work because they do say that laughter is THE BEST medicine 😂

Back when my grandparents (my dads parents) were alive most of the time i came to visit in the PM portions of the day they would let me and dad watch Americas Funniest Home Videos all the time. Even if it was a school night they would still let me watch it before me and dad went home for the evening. I even was into the show Full House way back when i was a kid and that is when the show Full House was new still (I was born in 1983). Man If it wasn't for Bob Saget i would not have known of these amazing happy times and memories of the joy he brought to me and many others in the world. RIP Bob Saget If yer reading this from heaven bob Know that I'll miss you good buddy.

He made AFV what it was- I say “was” because after he departed the show was never the same 🥺 Even though you might see the same clips nowadays, Bob’s natural flair for those comical narratives/ voiceovers aren’t a part of it, this the clips do not have the same appeal that they once did …

@KyleJBAwesomeness-OfficialChan2 жыл бұрын
They used the balloons drop a few times in the Tom Bergeron era. The only one I can remember is the 2-hour Battle of the Best tournament towards the end of Season 12 in 2002, with the late rapper Coolio as one of the judges.

When Ernie Anderson announced the show from 1990-1996, I only heard his announcing duties for this show, that is, until the first $100,000 episode of season 3 where Saget introduces him to America, and got him to say "The Love Boat" like he did for 9 straight seasons on ABC. He later gave him the brush-off, "Buzz off, Bob!"

We.. yeah that theory makes a lot of sense since Dave Joey Coulier would later front tue sadly short-lived AFHV spinoff series America’s Funniest People (broadcasted after Bob Danny Saget was done hosting the main show for the week), which is also created and executive produced by Vin Di Bona, has the same logo design as the franchise’s original logo used from 1989-1997 and has ABC commercials narrator Ernie Anderson as the spinoff’s announcer.
