The bare bones, Americans wanted to go west but were confined because of a treaty signed by king George and the Indian nations, hence independence. However Britain had been at war with France forever and couldn't finance or supply men at a time when Britons were defending themselves from French invasion, so at a very vulnerable time for Britons the founding fathers of America were actually betrayed by their own children.

well: i just have to say, these gentlemen have an interesting take . they do not believe in the separation clause. this entire series is focused on the founding of the u.s. as a christian nation. this argument simply does not bear out with the facts .

They show documents and quotes from the founders AND modern jurists. They quoted Justice Stephen Breyer, hardly known for his Christian faith, stating the Constitution coming directly from the Bible. Go back and listen again.
