The officer who made the decisive arrest in the case in 1975, Robert Hayward, just passed away last year at the age of 90. He was responding to a call when he took a wrong turn. He noticed a car sitting outside a house where two teenage girls lived, but he knew the parents were away on vacation. He realized he had taken a wrong turn and hit the gas. Even though Hayward was in an unmarked car, it spooked Bundy and he took off. Hayward chased Bundy through the suburban neighbourhood and eventually Bundy stopped in a parking lot. He got out of his car and started walking towards Hayward, who pulled out his gun and told him to stop while he waited for backup. He then questioned Bundy, caught him in a lie, searched his car, found some odd items and told his backup, "There's something wrong with this guy. I'll book him on evasion and we'll hold him for 24 hours." Then the calls started coming in that Bundy was wanted for murder.

Well, given Bundy's impulses, it's likely this was the first time in a while he hadn't killed someone after sexually assaulting them. He might have panicked, maybe only tried to get her unconscious, but he probably lost control during it and just flat out choked her. Also, I'm not implying Bundy felt remorse for his crimes. It's very likely he had just gotten bored of killing people for a short time, and picked up the taste again.

When you grow up in a house with parental figures who fly into rages for no reason you learn to adapt yourself to whatever social situation you need to. You just act like whoever you are around, it makes you very likeable but on a surface level. It becomes very hard to make or keep any kind of friend. It's not really from the other person's actions that you don't make friends, you just keep your real self guarded and don't let anyone in. Also when you form to fit in with anyone around you social interaction gets exhausting pretty fast.
@TheGreatMoonFrog
@TheGreatMoonFrog 6 жыл бұрын
Justin batchelar I feel some of your fears and problems however I think the difference is I don't really despise the people around me or get angry at them. I turn all that inwards and end up getting angry and despising myself. I'm pretty good socially, I work in sales and talking to people is my livelihood. I just spend all my time outside of work completely alone because all my social abilities are completely fake, it's just acting and so I don't connect with people other then as colleagues. I haven't hung out with a friend in almost 5 months now.

He said that out of the many many murderous criminals he met, they all had one thing in common: their addiction to pornography. He said there was no exception. He said it could take any child and any person. And that was in the 80's. Now it's more accessible than ever. I have not watched porn since and it's been the best time of my life. I highly encourage any one with a pornography addiction to try what I did and stop.

it's a shame they didn't take more time to explain the unstable mental condition he suffered from; seems like a very intricate web of reciprocation(give-take relationships) between the psychological disorders described, his inherent personality and the resulting traits of his upbringing. there seems to be a pattern in unstable people; they usually develop abilities that normal people don't possess since they grew up differently(had key issues during their upbringing), namely the fact that they were *lied to* during their childhood seems to be a great catalyst for abnormal behavior that shatters the initial human boundaries of social trust\care, and from there on it's a downward spiral you could expect from someone with problematic upbringing who had just had his borders declared irrelevant.

@@the_80skid what you're doing is the base to the downfall of rational thinking; it's an epidemic of the post modern age. You're giving the benefit of the doubt to culprits when in actuality, what you're trying to do is referring to a margin of error, something that is supposed to be an elementary thing in every thinking humans decision making process. In other words; yeah, there are exceptions to a rule, no shit Sherlock.

GRIM REAPER Dude you look really cool right now. Simply bad ass. I wish I could be half as cool and edgy as you. It's just a little ironic that you called me a kid who gets bullied at school and would go on a shooting spree when your name is "GRIM REAPER" and you seek attention in every post by typing in all bold. You might wanna work on that one to be honest. Plus, it's a proven science that once you call the other guy a kid on youtube comments you've clearly just won the debate and no further correspondence is necessary. On another note, you might wanna work on using periods. You only used ellipses which don't typically don't end sentences. But yeah I'm just really impressed by how cool you are so, idk what to tell you besides you really got me good.

My schools art teacher was apart of the Chi Omega when he did this. When giving her witness she described how lucky she felt when she found out (and extremely sad at the same time) that she had left for her parents house in Kansas the day before he did this. She cried alot when giving it, understandably.

Man my mum met him once at a gas station. He had messed with her car and acted like he was trying to help because there was oil leaking out but she and her friend checked it out and went "lol no we're good" and she said he felt kind of off with the way he looked at her after she fixed it. When they saw him on the news they were so freaked out because "holy shit it's the guy" Be smart guys or you'll never get to tell your kid you had a pleasant conversation with a serial killer

Because prevention is better than cure. It would be smarter to stop someone from breaking in in the first place than having to deal with them once they're already inside. There's not even a guarantee that you could get to your gun in time unless you dangerously and foolishly store it under your pillow.
