I genuinely don't understand why the first two suspects decided to get arrested with zero probable cause as opposed to simply utilizing their civil rights. Had they decided to simply not talk to police and refuse to go to the station, while also refusing ID, as there was no articuable crime committed with them walking down the street, they more than likely would have gotten away with it. For such a thoroughly planned robbery... this really ended up being amateur hour.

There had been a kidnapping involving two young black men and two young black men just happened to be walking in the dark along a road nearby when an officer heading to the scene spotted them. I was robbed by 3 people while delivering pizzas, they didn't get much and they only had knives. Afterwards when I went to the police station I was interrogated for 2 hrs and the cops called me a racist when I couldn't really describe the men who robbed me since it was dark out and they were black. They're final conclusion is that I made the whole situation up but couldn't prove it so they let me go. Unfortunately they told my boss this, he didn't believe them because I had worked for him for 5 yrs and rented the apartment above the store with my son, he knew I wouldn't risk all that for $60. 6 months later 2 people tried to rob me on another delivery, this time I didn't comply, and nothing was taken from me. I'm not going to go into detail about how it went down once i had the upper hand, but I didn't go to the police afterwards. The police in my town are horrible at They're job.

A car jacking with a gun, armed robbery with a gun, kidnapping an entire family with threats of death with a gun? He was charged under federal law; that's life. Three life threatening violent crimes; total six counts. And, he never cooperated. He's not a burglar. Somebody could have easily wound up dead. You won't hear anything from this guy. He's where he belongs. He's done these things many times before; it was totally comfortable for him. You invade a home and threaten an entire family with a violent death, you belong in prison. If he's on the street he will continue to do this and sooner or later somebody will get killed. That's inevitable. Here's a guy he needs a car, he puts a gun in somebody's face. He wants to rob a bank, he puts a gun in a family's face. And you don't know that he is not a killer. He very easily might have killed in the past.

All the good quality European alarms have similair feature called silent alarm. You can set button combination to activate silent alarm. (showing no internal sign of alarm. Knowing two code would be two difficult for meatware, silent alarm option was an European market since mid 70s. That would enable person entering code activating silence alarm while entering pin. Unfortunately With chainstores taking over, its hard to get a good quality items, usually having to wait to order them online).

Same happened in my town in Switzerland. Guys went to the house of the boss of a big watch factory full of gold, in the mid of the night. After, went with the dad/boss to the factory and empty massive stock of gold and more, leaving the guy tighted up at the factory. Just before leaving him they told him where the wife and daughter where kept safe and where they could be found. The guy was tightened until first person to open the company found him in the morning, giving a huge time to the robbers to escape and cross, probably, the french border. Never caught, never found, no injuries just a huge fear for the daughter, wife and boss. Never any clue not even the smallest one. The robbery was worth 80 millions. Aw, apparently they even gave blankets, food and drinks to the girls. Clean job.

Unfortunately it's a significant part of their economy. Prisons and the labour that prisoners do therein is major business. The young man in this case (as you rightly pointed out) would have been rehabilitated with the right intervention but it seems they were itchin to give him life without parole from the beginning. My mind couldn't stop from wondering to another case that I watched where a white female shot her Asian boss in cold blood in an attempt to get away with siphoning the company accounts. She got charged and convicted with 2nd degree murder and fraud I think. Her sentence was 15 years a piece to be served consecutively. After finally admitting her crimes and bumbling her way through an apology she was released after serving no more than 16 years in total. My mind then wondered back to this young man who likely will never get out of prison.🤕😡😶
