I am an American, and I personally love the ship. Though there are several issues with the ship, so much so that it’s definitely a toxic relationship, but if you can find all the right loop holes you might be able to make it wholesome. The only way I could see this ship working is if the characters are simply representatives of the country and isn’t the actual country. Outside of that they would have to go through several trials to have a decent relationship.
