@ well that is not true. Poor people or people who cannot afford health insurance get horrible healthcare and usually die because of it. This doesn’t happen in other countries. BP are at the top of that list of poor healthcare. Read the book, Medical Apartheid by Harriet A. Washington.

@@jennifereaddy you have to determine if you want city, country, beach or mountain life here. 😆. San Juan and Carolina are the largest with the most to offer with various neighborhoods and beach access and government resources etc. Dorado is smaller town, Rincon also. Small cities, very small. Hi Kerry, I'm so glad your health is so much better now that you've left the States. I'm wondering if you took any legal action against the property owner of the building that poisoned you? Especially since you had to pay for everything out of pocket.
@TheSensitiveTraveler
@TheSensitiveTraveler Ай бұрын
@@mscapricorniam1791 Hi, the laws are really tricky when it comes to mold. I was subleasing at the time and could not take legal action because the HOA had hired unlicensed workers to come in and handle the roof leaks (the wet stained ceiling tiles). They were not mold experts since no one anticipated mold (?!) but they were supposed to cut out each tile to air it out and check for mold. Instead they just painted over them. Turns out that the laws only hold licensed experts accountable for negligence. Not anyone else. Sigh. It is diff if you live in an apartment complex with management. They can be sued.

She is so right about the mold. I bought a town home with mold in the air ducts. I was coughing so much after a month living there. The HVAC people sprayed a chemical to kill the mold and installed 2 UV lights. I keep two buckets of Damp Rid in the air intake area behind the air filter. And I sleep with an air purifier.

Used to Uber and in a very high end class of my city in the States and was picking up a bunch of rich white women. An untold number had breast cancer and these were all fit, slim, Whole Foods eating white women. And trust me I was all in their business asking questions. They talked about their stress, their divorces, etc. But again all physically fit, exercising all the time, organic eating women.

I left the US six years ago. I lost 27 pds without even trying in the first three months. Fresh foods and foods that aren't processed and tampered with. Fresh air and sunshine make all the difference especially for someone in my 60's. There are so many additives that the US uses in food. So many of those very additives are banned in Europe. That says a lot. Plus here in Europe we shop more regularly and are getting fresh food. In the US we often do a huge grocery shop to fill up huge refrigerators and freezers. Another country not far away would be Georgia which allows a year stay. So you could bounce between any 90 day visit in the EU and then pop over to Georgia.

Bad air is a trigger for me now and can make a big diff in how I feel for the next week so I endure the stares LOL because at the end of the day I want to feel the best that I can.
