American Airlines Crash | Pilot Asked To Change Runways Before Washington Plane Crash | N18G

Shortly before an American Airlines regional jet and an Army helicopter collided near Reagan
National Airport on Wednesday night, the plane’s pilots were asked to pivot its landing route
from one runway to another, according to a person briefed on the event and conversation
overheard on audio recordings of conversations that occurred between an air traffic controller
and the pilots.

The pilot changed runways because ATC requested that he do so. The change was not initiated by the pilot (as has been suggested by some outlets). ADSB data shows the plane did exactly what ATC instructed it to do. No blame can attach to the crew of the plane.

THAT JET WAS NEVER AT FAULT IN THE LEAST. HE DID EVERYTHING RIGHT. FROM WHAT I SAW, THE CHOPPER PILOT CONFORMED HE SAW A PLANE BUT TO HIS RIGHT... NOT AHEAD!!

How do you know? Are you a investigator? Why not let them do their job and figure it out. The pilot could of been drunk, drugged, or could be a 911 incident or just a freak accident.... Nobody knows so just hold your breath

​@@BaconswingriftergoneEverything is out in public. Only fools like to be spoon fed. Helicopter pilot messed it up and to some extent controller can ge blamed for not assigning stricter altitude. Anyways helicopter pilot took responsibility of visual seperation and he failed.

@@Baconswingriftergone Two things we know for SURE...because of HARD DATA...helicopter was off its route and flying at a HIGH ALTITUDE. It crashed into the plane...period. Why did it crash into the plane and why was it flying incorrectly are two questions that need to be answered. Also...who was flying the helicopter? They've only released 2 of the 3 names.

Army Helicopter was in wrong airspace and wrong altitude. Crash had nothing to with staffing or DEI. Incompetence at the highest level.

my question is why did the training location was approved to be near the Airport? the copter did not Fly High, as mentioned in another video. also another video it said the "ControlTower was short staff, thereby not able to direct both Pilots". was it right? I believe they are responsible only with the commercial planes. while in another video it says "it was Deliberate"..
