How on earth could you dislike the music done by American Authors? One thing I love aboutntheir music is that a lot of it sounds really happy and upbeat, and a lot of it is. And then they have their songs that sound happy, but have those sad undertones to them... And if you really hear the lyrics yo urealize they're singings about some sad stuff. I like songs like that. They're sincere. Plus their happy songs are just flippin' fun to sing and dance to. How can you not smile when Hit It or Heart of Stone plays?

I saw these guys in 2015 and was absolutely floored by how damned good they were. The singer has a far better voice in concert than in the studio. Its such a pleasure to hear GOOD music coming out with all the shit that streams out of the radio these days. That's right, I'm 65 years old and grew up in an amazing time for music, but I still keep searching for new stuff that's great. American Authors is a beautiful oasis in the massive desert of techno, bad rap, and sickening pop. The kind of music you just can't be miserable when you listen to it. Good job, boys!
