The hardest part is making the first couple minutes of the story very interesting because if you don't people's attention spans have been shortened by tik Tok and other short form video formats so they want instantaneous gratification and instantaneous dopamine hits and if you don't give them that they will just move on to the next thing.

Pure nonsense. Theres amazing shows, movies and books coming out nearly daily. If you cant see past tiktok thats on you. You act as if tiktok represent the whole yough, this happen every generation. Theres always someone there look down at the youth.
