If you really wanna boil down Sr's problem it's that he never treated Jr like he was supposed: as a PARTNER in the business. He never really wanted to share the operation of the biz with his son. He always acted like Jr was his least favorite employee. Now, a lot can be said for Jr's work ethic in the early days: taking 2-3 hr lunchbreaks, not telling anyone when he was leaving, coming in late, deliberately leaving his phone behind so Dad couldn't call him and bitch at him, etc. But in the end, Sr didn't have the respect for Jr that Jr deserved and he was a greedy old badger to boot.

Looking back at the post Paul Jr at OCC episodes, I find it to be hilarious and sad how Paul Sr was shitting all over Jr for designing a grill and a dog park instead of building bikes. What Sr wouldn't tell is he had Jr in a non-compete clause for 1 year, stipulating that Jr could not make any bikes. Then when Jr started making bikes, Sr claimed Jr didn't have an original bone in his body and should do something other than build bikes, because apparently in Sr's mind he created bike-building or something. The real kicker is Sr went as far as to pay Lee and Odie to try and screw over Jr and miss deadlines -- it takes a truly pathetic and psychotic person to do this to anyone, let alone a son. Sr also claimed Jr was too lazy to even get out of bed to build a bike and would not complete one bike. Not only did he and Vinnie set up a giant shop in 6 weeks, they also built two extremely involved bikes during 2 of those weeks and unveiled them in front of a massive crowd in Sturgis, where Sr and OCC were -- but the promotors at Sturgis wanted Jr's bikes, not OCC's. This is very telling. Fast forward a decade later, PJD is still around (albeit a smaller operation but still opening a second shop now). Meanwhile OCC have literally lost everything -- tools, building, employees and all -- and Sr is now alone in Florida selling hamburgers. And of course he is using Jr's bikes to attract people to the restaurant. LOL. I give that business venture 2-3 years max before it folds, just like the many other bike-themed restaurants he opened over the past 15 years that went belly up in no time.

Vinnie was always nice to Sr ....Sr disrespected him and didn't pay Vinnie for tons of OT. And Vinnie was a little upset but didn't push for money..Sr is demonstrative and bitter...he is always the victim mentality
