I’m a 53 year old American Catholic myself, and I love my Israeli brothers and sisters. I pray that Israel prevails especially during this difficult time. My Grandparents who grew up in America during the Great Depression taught me that the Jews are god’s chosen people and that God will protect them. Just like he did when he parted the Red Sea. An I was also taught that us Catholics owe the Jewish people because of the sin that catholic bishop did at the end of WW2 that helped those NotSee’s escape using the ratline to South America!!! So it’s a debt every Catholic owes the Jews You can also see that interaction between those two men that was both showing each other real respect and love.
