Yes Indian culture here is very normal and accepted. Definately one of the better success stories. You will find multiple Indian resteraunts in most towns accross the UK. An Indian curry is the national dish of England. No joke! We reallllly like our Indian food.

+CM Punk Ya whatever. To any North Indian, beef samosa would sound exactly what a besan idli would sound to a South Indian. Now u can make a crab samosa or a shrimp samosa or a cockroach samosa. That's not the point here. Samosa is a north Indian snack (originally from Punjab) and was meant to be made with potatoes and spices. Just like you are not supposed to make a Besan Idli or a pork Sambhar.

Just to take your analogy a little further, Besan Idli does sound weird but Idli is not just made with rice batter, its made with rava, its made with ragi and corn: so do the other version apart from Rice batter idli not Indian? off course not, they are all Indian cuisine. Similarly beef samasos may not be the originating version, but they are defiantly an Indian cuisine. Peace!!!!

Most of the westerners want to experience that HOTness and hence there has been this connotation that all Indian food is HOT(or as they call it spicy). This is why there is craze for North Carolina reaper or those crazy chicken curries that super HOT with scoville scales blown up.

My fellow Indian brothers and sisters.Listen, don't say beef samosa is not Indian because it is, you might not have travelled whole India, we r a secular nation with different religions.Off course many Hindus r vegetarian and those who eat meat maximum restrict themselves with chicken, mutton and fish.But we also have Islam, Buddhist, Christians.Who does eat beef, its banned in many states perhaps not banned completely.So calm down and let them enjoy. BTW don't get mad at Americans, they r new to these foods and culture, instead get more knowledge on your own country first.M an Indian from Sikkim. We have lots of beef meat shops here, though I don't eat beef.

Beef samosa is news to me. Indians (many religion, so pick yours) do eat beef but not everyone (i am in south) and its not a native cultural food, now modern society accepted it. Mostly youngsters try this meat for first time (school, collage) and i am pretty sure they wont say it to their parents/at home. Like many commenting here.. dont say "we" coz Indians do eat beef. The point is.. In my place there is only one beef shop and like 20 mutton/chicken shop but with too many recent IT, other new companies, the biriyani restaurants are choosing beef over mutton (not fancy restaurant) because the price is less/new beef eaters from other states. Compared to Beef vs Chicken shops, it will be like 10/100.

A sizeable chunk of South-indian Hindus eat beef. Especially those in Kerala , Tamil Nadu and Coastal Karnataka! Beef is also consumed by people from the North-east! Try out the Kerala style beef fry or the Mangalorean beef curry! Its delicious!

I've never really heard of beef samosas before even though I've lived in India for most of my life. Samosas fall under vegetarian food, but I guess it won't hurt to experiment a bit. Maybe we can try making chocolate samosas; worth a try!

afghani rice is from afghanistan not india though you can get it in india too and the bread which she eats is called a 'bhatura' which is eaten with chick pea curry called 'chhole', its mainly from up north but you can get almost everywhere.

Ok..the new government has applied a ban of beef in certain states..and most of us "internet kids" may have never ventured into the dark alleys of Indian streets where it is highly likely that certain communities have been eating beef for years..so it is silly that kids expect beef not to be an Indian dish if they havent even traveled to half the indian states in their lives..please go out more and then comment.. (I dont eat beef, but have know regular beef eaters everywhere I have stayed, Kerala, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai..etc)

Samosa in its most traditional and (in my opinion) tastiest form is made with a spicy potato stuffing, peas, crushed chilies and dry fruits. There is no concept of a "beef samosa" in India. It seems like the "samosa" was prepared in a Pakistani establishment posing as an Indian one. To my friend from Kerala who keeps saying they make "beef samosas" in his state. Well you can stuff a flour shell with anything and fry it but then can you really call it a samosa?
