From the beginning of the video, it's actually already a memory. Paul died 4 yrs ago. He is already dead before she met Jay. If you noticed in the video, if she was with Paul, the color of the video is a bit gray and faded, but when she was with Jay, the color becomes brighter. The girl was just trying to remember her first love, that's what we saw from the start of the video. Paul is her past, Jay is her present. At first you will think because of the title " Choice " means choosing between 2 men, it's actually about choosing between holding on and letting go of your past.

Paul was actually her son who was her life. He always took care of her Mom. Paul died 4 years ago long before she met Jay, but she took the loss of her son hard. Now it's time to love again with Jay, her boyfriend.

@@ajade7974 Because if you look at the video, near the end, after Paul left, and she was sitting on the bench, and then they showed the grave, she said "that her son was gone." He died 4 years ago. Families are close in the Philippines. So Jay got her out of her years of depression, and she "started to love again" like she loved her son. When Jay said, " I know you have someone else in your heart," he knew it was her dead son.
