Great video ❤ Camel herders can be any age really some start incredibly young like 9 or 10 and herd the families camels which he will inherit from the father when the father passes away or when he gets married he gets his own herd depends on circumstances really some also have people herd them for them and pay them money to do so. Yes they do stay awake in turns because there are alot of hyenas. Camel milk is extremely healthy and healing and camels can go up to a year with no water they are truly amazing animals in Somalia camels are very important not only for the benefits but culturally aswell as we use them in many cultural ceremonies and so on

There are two groups of Camels that are aggressive, the bull Camel during the mating season, or if there are two bull camles (they will kill each other). The second aggressive camel group are the young she camel that had baby for the first time, she will not allow anybody to touch her udder, so it's the job of the camel header to make her comfortable. Camels are amazing and intelligent animals, they know their names and the people who take care of them. My family has over 1 thousand camels. They're valued more than any other wealth.

Pull Camels are aggressive and territorial during the mate-season.And when the mate season is over, families use pull camels as their main transportation by using them to get water from wells that are way far sometimes 3 days walking distance. Also when the family wants to move a better area to graze, families use pull camels to carry their hut houses, kids and elders who can’t walk

It’s hard to believe he’s 93 because in this day and age 20 year olds be getting wrinkles and grey hair and we have accepted and normalized it. It all comes down to good food and healthy lifestyle. People used to live more than 100 years look into history

I'm sure someone answered your the question of what age do they start to herd. It depends from family to family but around 9,10 or 11 with the help of their fathers,uncles and so on since it is a family herd. Also camels are aggressive during mating or breeding seasons they can restless and just aggressive otherwise they are vary beautiful animals and calm to be around. I mean when I say beautiful you'll only understand when you are stand next to one how breathtakingly beautiful they are. As for the age think people who live that nomadic lifestyle they are very agile, healthy, active and very knowledge of the land and the life stock. They are very active at an old age with very very little health issues if any at all. I mean I'm young and I can guarantee you I couldn't walk the amount of kilometres they walk in the heat and the kind manual work they do. You will see a 80 year old walking certain kilometres, back and from the mosque and still very able where as here in the west a 70yr is in dypers in a home or in bed with multiple issues, I think is similar to when you start being active from a young age and you continue being active throughout then your body and mind will continue to be active for a long time. Plus the clean air, the fresh camel milk, the meat, the sun and less stress being around your family and people that why they live long and are healthy at an old age. Ps them camels are expensive specially on Eid festival they burn a hole your pocket.

These nomads have lived on Camel Meat and Milk for thousands of years in the desert. That is their diet that is why they are so slender no to mention walking the Camels 🐪 for thousands of miles a year. Many of the Nomads don’t settle in a region they follow the rain.

He is 93 years old and does not look old coz this people who live in the villages or in this kind of life in every calture in Africa is coz they consume natural food which does not have any chemical substances hence makes them to be healthy and their body cope up with the age and does not make them crowl down or show signs of ageing.

They are not aggressive to people even when in mating season. They are only aggressive to other Bulls. 4 or 5 year old children handle them, my older brother and cousins used to make them fight behind parents back when I was little. Faisal is Londoner, literally my neighbour, he doesn't know and I reckon the nomads are trolling him. 😂😂😂

Most bull camels are safe to approach but some can be dangerous during the mating season, I have bite marks on my shoulder from a close call after underestimating one myself. :D Your right I am a Londoner but if were my neighbour you would know I lived in the wilderness as a nomad from 2012-2018 so I am not a completely clueless Londoner :D
@AFDiini1722
@AFDiini1722 Жыл бұрын
@@_GlobalNomad depends how you approach them. I got bit in the hand once when I was feeding dates to one but it was an accident, I am from Galmudug, Grew up around them in my formative years, I and most of my fam members own many camels. They are not dangerous if you know how to handle them was my point, I find often the adolescent males are unpredictable and stubborn than the big dominant males.

@@AFDiini1722 Bull camels are not exactly dangerous predators but they can be unpredictable during the mating season when they are in a rut and a small percentage can and will attack people if they try to touch them or get too close. Obviously I was not under threat from this particular camel but I thought it was only fair that I mentioned this to make sure that the viewers are aware of the potential risk so that they know there’s a difference between making contact with a male camel in season and out of season. Also I know your joking bro but I couldn’t let that slide 😁
