In addition, he was badly hit by recession, especially when the new government came into power. His new projects are not financed from his personal wallet. The bulk of them are debt finance. Especially the refinery. The rest of the capital finance is from equity provided by other stakeholders. However, Dangote still owns the majority of the shares in these projects.
