Hey guys, just wanted to put this out there, the whole saying is "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back". You may risk something trying to make certain discoveries, but if said discoveries are to your liking, or even if simply learning information appeases you, it can be worth the risk. At some point the saying got shortened into a negative phrase, likely by mothers trying to keep their children from sticking their noses where they thought they didn't belong P.S. if a bear charges you, stand your ground to assert your dominance. It wouldn't necessarily work in every case, i.e. a mother with her cubs is *trying* to chase you off and will probably see you as even more of a threat if you stick around, but a lone bear by itself is probably testing you. Very few things refuse to run from a bear. Whether standing your ground makes them afraid, or likely confused, it can stop them in their tracks either way
