I grew up in NH, the Canadian geese used to tell us when the Seasons would change, flocks of them-ten to 30, would fly over NH, in the Fall they would fly South for the Winter, in the Spring they would fly North for the Summer. And they were very vocal.

I lived in a complex that had a good sized lake and we had a lot of Canada geese that nested and raised their young every year. One mated pair was very friendly with me, especially the male, to the point that he would actually come into my house for treats! I have pictures, wish I could post here.

The geese used to hang out by the picnic tables at my job. They were quite literally begging for food. Sometimes they got pissed and that is the exact noise they made when they were getting aggressive. This ish was funny af!!

I live in NE, and we seem to have an abundance of Canadian geese around here. Talk about suicidal... One time, one flew directly into our car's windshield while my husband was driving down the highway. No idea what happened to it or where it went. But, it completely busted the windshield, and it left feathers stuck in the cracks of the glass. A highway patrolman just happened to be passing by around that same time, so he pulled over to see if my husband was okay. After looking at the car, my husband said he could tell the patrolman was really surprised and was having a really hard time trying not to bust out laughing. Another patrolman pulled up a few minutes later and also surveyed the damage. Husband said the guy had a serious case of "wtf" face. 😆

I hit one flying low with a delivery truck at 45 mph. It was like hitting a bowling ball and if it was flying a bit lower the whole windshield would have been in my lap.

@@suprchickn7745 In my husband's case, it was an SUV, and he was driving around 65-70. Bad thing is, it also hit on the driver's side. That special coating they use on the glass held it together, but only just barely. It was shattered into bits, and the impact crater dented in nearly half way to the steering wheel. Not only did we have to replace the windshield, but I think my husband also had to replace his pants. 😆

I used to walk my dog around a lake near Johannesburg and there was a huge flock of Canada Geese living there. You had to watch where you walked because the ground was so slippery because of the green goo. They made a mistake of attacking my dog, an English Bull terrier and came close to losing a few members. Canada's gift to the world, green goo fertilising fiends.

I was attacked and chased by a Canada goose. Daddy bird flew at me attacking to chase me away from a nest his mate had nearby. I was wishing i had a baseball bat or a walking stick or something to fend it off. They are a big bird up close.

Re. the Canada goose, oh I don't know, I had a good experience with them. On Ohio Rt. 7 North in Stratton Ohio, just south of the power plant and next to the dam, I came upon a Canada goose that had been recently struck and killed on the road, and all of his buddies, seven or eight of them, were standing around him on the road, a four lane highway with a 50 mph speed limit. I pulled over, got a big piece of plastic from my car, and went over and picked up his body and transported it to the center of the grassy area between the road and the dam, well off of the highway. I just didn't want all of his buddies to get hit as well. None of them hissed or honked at me and instead just quietly followed me over to the grassy area where I laid his body down. They seemed to be in mourning. Well, at least they were all out of the road and weren't going to get killed that day like their buddy.

Canadian geese are beautiful. It’s not easy to walk on webbed feet. And they’re really intelligent. Most that get sucked into engines usually have just mistimed/miscalculated their flight path so as to to read and admire the graphics painted on the jet’s fuselage, and enjoy the wild ride provided by slipstreams.
