Some measures like using small barricades can be used here,so that people don't ruin such things.Also one or two heritage security guards needs to be in there inside.Such sites are our heritage,it is not a joke that people ruin or destroy them.I have seen many of our good places which are even worse.Our people just making new restaurants but don't realize that such heritage sites also needs attention.

Ujwal Mokashi What’s your point buddy? It was finished in 1671 so hardly built recently. Also it’s all about the history behind it and for who it was commissioned by. This is a beautiful relic from the Mughal empire. I actually went there today and it truly is a beautiful piece of structure. The fact it’s still being used today for prayer and for wedding ceremonies is inspiring.

I miss Lahore. I think your timing was perfect to visit. Usually it gets really hot and humid in summer. Traffic is hectic and congested but I still miss the day to day hustle and bustle. I think the local government was building over-head people mover bridges to alleviate the congestion. Overall I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Hey guys! Another great vlog. As an expatriate in the UK for most of my life, I think I've managed to get to Lahore no more than a handful (5?) times. Ronnie, you guys instil feelings of homesickness and melancholy in me with your vlogs. I wish I had Doctor Who's Tardis so that I could travel in time to my homeland whenever I felt like it. By the way, I'm sure I've mentioned it before but I'll say it again, Aidan (A-Man) and Bastian (B-Man) are two well behaved young sons who will grow into gentlemen with a wonderful appreciation of the sights sounds and peoples of this beautiful Earth that we call home, they are definitely a credit to you and Amy. History Fact: The diamond in Britian’s Queen Crown was confiscated from the Mughal empire. All the walls were embedded with Jewels which was also taken by the Britain back than.

shazeb ali I think you will find after Mughal the diamond was taken by Afghanis and finished up with some Afghani/ Persian prince who came to Lahore to seek help from Rangeet Singh who stole or took it by force from him After defeat of Sikh empire the British took from them as part of peace agreement that’s how the diamond finished up on Queens head today

One thing that I doubt the guide would have told you is that whole of Lahore fort's bricks were laid with Lintel Paste instead of gypsum. They used four different kinds of Lintels and used to soak them and grind them in large clay pots to later be used as a mortar.

My grandfather was born in Lahore before the partition with India. He lost a lot of his family wealth and friends over there after the British denounced a partition in 1947. We're an Indian family now and may never be able to visit Lahore, but Lahore seems like a beautiful place to visit and I wish I could.
