There's a true story of a white guy who became high up, well known, respected and equally feared man in the Yakuza... if I'm not mistaking, the only known white man (American at that) to be in the Yakuza. Can't remember his name, but he had a really brutal childhood and interesting life story

Most feared Yakuza leader? When i watched the movie, the vibe i get from MC is that he is more than a little out of place but nonetheless fully clad in Plot armour.
@bananatiergod Жыл бұрын
He's literally an edgy Gary Stu who gets everything handed to him even though the only thing he's good for is punching people. He literally went behind his sworn brother's back and slept with his sister even though he told him not to and the sworn brother was like "sure, that's cool I guess 🤷♂️"

@aresgodofwar14276 ай бұрын
I think Ororchi just showed weakness by not accepting Nick's duel cement his death in Seizu Clan. Well, Nick going into Seizu Clan alone make him brave and Seizu Clan sparing him i think making him in debt for sparing him will benefit him so i think maybe that is Seizu Clan Leader plan.

There was less emotional expression in the act of this movie, i think it was not to show how intense japanese people could be in what they do but the reality in that these were people binged into a life that they can not walk out of dead or alive. Walking corpses. Interesting movie honestly.
@ethanpark39462 жыл бұрын
I think the American actor being more awkward or lifeless at times fits perfectly with the idea of him being an outsider. He is not fully knowing of japanese culture or traditions. So it would make sense that he is more careful and reserved in what happens. Personally think 'critics' just hated the slow pace of the movie. Which I enjoyed as it set the scene and mood well.
@bananatiergod Жыл бұрын
The only one who bothered giving us anything with his role is the guy who played Orochi. The scene where the head of the family asks him to return and you can see him welling up was subtle but showed how it pained him to kill the man who practically raised him.
