You ain’t fucking with it cause simply Meeks got like 2 good songs. He’s mid. No words play. Just face value shit. No double meanings or nothing. He just rhymes trap and rap a bunch of times and repeats bars the whole way through. Who ever is giving you uk suggestions is probably 13 year olds who only been listening to uk rap aslong as you have. You wanna check out old schools , MCs, grime ect, the thing is uk has a lot of talent, you gotta dig for it tho. It goes under the radar and what’s popular in the uk is quiet shit. Central cee for example. Fumbles in a cypher, has no idea how to rap shit that he hasn’t been writing all year. Midlands and north has the best rappers. All though I’m not sure you’d catch their accents. And a lot of Americans find them accents funny so might not even sound good to you tbh. But it’s raw talent. Rap in London just seems copy and pasted. And anywhere down south is just trying to sound like they’re from London, the midlands and up north are different and don’t try to be no1 else. If you wanna see real uk talent, go see some grime mcs. These drill artists aren’t bad but shits overrated and getting old. I’m not sure if you’d even catch the bars with our mcs but people like Sox, ocean wisdom, lunar c, even tanski. I’d have a look into it… might be abit hard for Americans to get into tho. But these underground artists are insane when it comes to word play. Double time ect. Drill isn’t our main thing here… drill is exclusive to the world.. grime is our scene that comes fresh from the uk. Drill originated from uk, the beats ect. Ask pop smoke. But I’d argue the Americans beat us in the drill game… I find uk drill very corny. But I also find American rap corny alot of the times. Just check out our grime MCs. You might like it.
