Instead of a megasode like usual it might be interesting to have you interview and talk about the season from the perspective of every guest host? What did they think before joining the show and now afterwards. Was it harder or easier than they expected? I just would love to see everyone again. This was a fun experimental year that didn’t disappoint!

Have you seen film Bronson starring Tom Hardy? I imagine the director took quite a few liberties in telling the story of Britain's most violent prisoner, but I find Tom Hardy's performance to be one of his best. He does a great job showing a person that really has no clue why he does things and so he just fights. This is best shown when he takes a librarian hostage and then does not know what to do with this hostage, so he just gives up and fights the prison guards.

I have some art made by Charles, and it really communicates his feeling of entrapment and confusion - moreso than the movie (though I do love the movie!) It's horrific to think that this human being is so clearly troubled and in need of *some* kind of care, treatment, etc and instead has been more or less hidden away in a box for the vast majority of his life. That film was instrumental in me seeking him out, and in me first learning about the failures of the prison system.

I adored Asteroid City, to me the themes of the film spoke to me than maybe any other Anderson movie. To me it's essentially a big allegory for the madness of contemporary times and particularly the switch from predominantly modern moralism in the first half of the 20th century to the confused post-modernism of the second half of the 20th century and beyond. I loved the way it played with the meta aspects of the film and it seems like it deserves the most re-watches out of any of the Anderson films I've seen-- which is most of them, I love his work.

Richard Gere is reasonably handsome, so I get him getting work, but i don't understand why people like him as a performer. He's always so vacant and boring to me, he doesn't seem likable, more so than anyone else off the street, he never does anything exciting or unexpected, he's just not really a thespian. He's a working actor that got big for no good reason. He's like all those hallmark actors, handsome but boring and totally devoid of charisma.

Matt, I hope you still tell us what your favourite and least favourite films of the season are. It can be difficult to determine just how much you enjoyed each film during their singular episodes, so, it was often a surprise to hear what you picked. I have a yearly tradition of watching whatever your favourite was if I haven't seen it. Great show!

Richard Gere has gotten a lot better over the years. I watched officer and a gentlemen not that long ago and he is terrible in it. His constant blinking eyes can drive you insane. He tries so hard to act. And then i saw a film that's only a few years old where he plays a guy who loses everything and ends up on the streets, and he was fantastic. It's like he finally got rid of all those acting tics and learned to relax in front of the camera, instead of trying to put on a show.
