without knowing much of American Gods the pilot blew me away, but really it made me miss Bryan Fuller's Hannibal. David Slade's direction along with Brian Reitzell's accompanying score was on point.

Matt Something Yeah the only thing I worked out before watching this was some spooky gods stuff is happening....I didn't know Wednesday was Odin, I missed Loki, ibis, that prostitute who the hell knows...now I know everything that is going to happen like the bone orchard I didn't know was meant to mean that is what is happening in the future...I know he couldn't have revealed everything, but he shouldn't be explaining things that are going to happen in the future for one thing, or who people are if it hasn't been explained yet in the show. I think watching these explanations has ruined a lot of shows and movies for me. He explains too much, there's no mystery anymore, no surprises.

The biggest giveaway was let's see what day is it today "Wednesday" leading me onto in old English odin was called Woden and Woden was the name of the day which was the middle of the week in the 21st century we call Wednesday the middle of the week😳🤷‍♀️🙄 #MrWednesday

Is Shadow Moon a god who just doesn't realize it? You mentioned the weather is influenced by him, and I don't know why all these other gods would be so interested in him if he wasn't special in any way. I think it would be an interesting twist if Shadow Moon ended up being a god of some kind, or some other kind of mythical being.

Ricky Whittle, the actor, progressively had lesser screen time in his last few seasons of 'The 100'. It annoyed him and he tried asking the showrunner to give him more screen time but the showrunner had none of it; so Whittle tried to audition to various tv shows including this American Gods. Voila!

This is a good take on the book. As what another commented on my Low Key comment, the twist on the book wouldn't work today. The Bilquist one, I mistook her for Ishtar. Then I was reminded of by the scene. I remember trying to draw that scene when I first read it. Oh, and Violet is Shadow's wife. They grow up fast.

It is always super helpful to have you not only confirm things for me but to also give additional insight into characters/ scenes/ etc. I am now really excited to see them meet the other gods out there. I think I was hooked in from the opening tittle sequence. I don't know what it all means but I have the feeling EVERYTHING in it had some deeper meaning. LOVING this show so far, really hope you cover it week to week. My favourite part was the part were American Gods was playing. Mr Wednesday was fantastic, Ian McShane really was perfectly cast. Ricky Whittle is exactly how I imagined Shadow to be, so that's really working. SO hyped for next week. I hope every episode starts with a different chapter of "Coming to America". Each one explaining a different god, and how they made the journey to America's shore.
