Marie Mervilus Again I totally agree with what u stated above. I just love Elvis...somebody even painted me a portrait of Elvis cuz they knew how much I love him. I also got to go to Graceland back in 1982. I am going through some very rough times. Just don't want everyone seeing/reading my problems. One of them is my I THOUGHT "so-called" best friend of 40+years turned on me. I never thought she would ever do that we had been through so much together all these years. In fact, she is the one that went with me to see Graceland. How did it all started over something stupid...I am a Bears fan she is a Packers fan they r "Arch enemies." Well her 23-year-old daughter started with the name calling & then enlisted her "buddies" I mean really bad profanity the f bomb, the c word, stupid b word, etc. What gets me is her mom defended her would not talk to me to hear my side (hung up on me) not one time did I ever use profanity. Yet, my so-called ex BF defended her THEN they both unfriended my daughter (she has special needs). Cassie (my daughter) cried her eyes out & now I am ticked. Bad enough I got called every name but my real name but to then take it on Cassie who had nothing to do with what was going on. I guess it's true what the song says..."My ONLY friend is Jesus" how quick people turn on me....very hurtful. Other things have happened too but I have left enough for everyone to see. Wish I could just pick up & move to a place where NOBODY knows me.

One time I seen an Elvis "impersonator" got called up to the front stage he said "U don't get this scarf without a kiss" I stated "I wasn't going to take that scarf without a kiss" & it was a good kiss if u know what I mean. He was good but could never hold a candle next to Elvis. With Elvis gone I don't have too much to choose from. I was too young when he was alive on tour but an elderly lady I know was lucky/blessed enough to see Elvis in concert. She said when Elvis came on stage he had so much charisma that he was like a magnet just drawing "in the crowd!" So mad....I never got to see "The King!" If I would have been able to see Elvis I probably would of been "hurting" people trying to get close to him, get that scarf, & of course that kiss! lol Just LOVE Elvis one of a kind God broke the mold after Elvis "The King!"

Elvis was an enormous talent and was very humble at the same time. I believe his fans (me included) saw him as a not only incredibly talented but very cool so I think the impersonators think they have to act cool. That's my guess anyway.

I think they are trying to recreate his natural born coolness but they fail to realize he was born with that coolness you can't fake it you have to be born with it and the impersonators try to fake it and come out looking a lil too cocky n conceited..Its like those retarded kids who think just cuz their cap is cocked to the side that automatically makes them cool..NO!!! you have to be born with it..

well this young man had a hit tribute show in Branson and now tours the country. a large portion of the folks who attend his shows are actually the age group that Elvis had...so on that note, He's doing something right. He respectfully honors the King for His young generation and genuinely has the interest of the older generations. keep up the good works and keep the light of Elvis Presley burning.
