When we were your children's ages, the 50s, the 60s, and the 70s, we played outdoors with our other neighborhood (community) kids, with all of the parents sharing with each families' children and relatives. We played outdoors all day until dark. In present day America, children and parents are captives of technology, living secluded individualistic lives. This is what you are experiencing. I'm not sure where in America you stay, but so many of my friends who grew up in the suburbs, walked to each other's homes and played until it was dark, they played baseball at home or the park, rode bikes and had a lot of friends. Today, kids still do the same thing, but many are also in sports, go on vacation with their families, invite friends over, spend time with relatives. Every place is different. I grew up on a farm and we set up play dates and my mom would drive us. We spent a lot of time with family. It's whatever you are use to. I love America. Glad Kenya suits you.
