The best part of becoming a true jazz artists is when you realize how to create whatever you desire through your music , it might not pay the bills but it always makes you feel good. I call it true happiness that no one can ever take away from you , This is a very inspiring video .

A dance major asks Mr Wynton about making it financially as an artist (38:00). I've come back to this video many times to listen to his response to the dancer. Mr Marsalis shares he has worked since he was 8 years old, how we hustled. The story Wynton tells of leaving the family home at 17 and the interaction with his father, the great Ellis Marsalis, as he is on his way out the door is remarkable (42:12).

Finding one's voice is hard. Trying to listen to the quiet, harmonious voice inside, with so much dissonance from the outside isn't easy; The more I try to listen to my inner voice, the more like noise cancelling headphones it becomes! This is a great interview, as are all the interviews I see of this man. I strive to be as good a communicator of the collective soul as he is. Thanks for posting. 🐰🙏
