Not an A.I. fan (Can appreciate from time to time), or a Lennon fan (I do have respect for Lennon though), but I was amazed at the arrangement on this performance and his voice owned this song. Perfection! He made it his own, and that is hard to do on this one.

That wasn't the reason, he's sung "Imagine," many times--all of it--but AI has a time limit on songs, only room for a verse and a chorus, David picked the verse that meant the most to him. Too bad he couldn't have sung all of it on the show.

I just wish he was 18 on AI. I felt uncomfortable voting for him as a 30 something gay man more than once. I think AI needs to up the contestants' age to 18 y/o. David should have waited two years. I couldn't fanboy him since it was inappropriate. This clearly was the performance of that season.
