I think in the Q&A at the end, Kengor misses the point (twice) about the institutional church’s deaf ear to the needs of the common man. He is partially correct: the communists/jacobins went after the established churches because of their connection to the crowns. What he misses is the startling lack of compassion in those institutional churches. I’m in no way a “social justice” guy, but there is much to repent of for the churches that were filled with gold inside while people starved in the cities and countryside around them.
