I think it is actually a very good thing for your parents to visit you. It makes it easier for them to understand what kind of transition and change you go through throughout your experience. They can relate more easily and once you are back home you will be glad that sharing experiences will be easier since your parents will know what you are talking about. Also for parents generally it is good to see their children in their exchange environment, they will see you in a totally different light since you are know guiding them, translating and organizing. At the beginning of adulthood this is a great experience for you and your parents. Hope the readjustment isn't too hard.

Just one point, from a german guy, living way up north: the travelling DOES change your life. In a positive way, I think. Always! It just gives you a better perspective. I kinda grew up with it. My father was a sailor. He once stated , having been to 140 countries in the world. I'm far from that! And I've always only been in the "western world". Except 1 week in turkey, once. But I'm fine with that. Just keep on, exploring. Especially, when not coming somewhere as just a tourist. I think that makes a lot of a difference.
