I dont like Trump. I dont like Biden, and I sure as shit dont like Hillary. Let's address what's said at the beginning of this video. That a team who had been in power for 8 years handed down a report of a lack of stockpiled ppe and medical supplies for a pandemic, which they apparently held super high in priority to the next person... thats both groups fault. Trumps an idiot but apparently the team before was barely better.

So were Fauci and Birx lying when they said "if we do things together, well, almost perfectly, we could get in the range of 100k to 200k fatalities" kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqvPYnhqrZKeaNk ? Does that mean if a vaccine comes, or other treatments and deaths are generally halted from this virus (which will likely never happen btw), does that mean Trump failed horribly? Or does that mean he handled it "perfectly" as Fauci and Birx said themselves, these results would mean?
@Inazarab4 жыл бұрын
@@AllAwake1111 The clip you give was early on in the virus so too much was known. The model they used used a higher death rate than we now know COVID has. The clip you give is entirely irrelevant and only proves how much Trump has bungled this. We're at 190K deaths now and cases are still rising so we'll be well above that pretty soon. And that's with a lower death rate than we originally thought the virus had. So he's handled things horribly.

Super informative, great interviews. This is the first time I've heard about all the warnings Trump had/protocols he was briefed on in terms of disasters and pandemics specifically, ALL of the vacancies in federal disaster preparedness positions, and info on what could have (should have) happened if standard protocols were followed. This video accurately characterizes Trump as more than a mindless baby - he knows what he's doing when he proposes major cuts to the CDC during a pandemic. The way Trump is mocked for his stupidity and outrageousness by liberals lessens the impression that we should all have: that he's purposeful in his destruction of the federal government and extremely dangerous. If CNN, NBC's reporting was more like this, we'd all be better off...
@MrDrAitch4 жыл бұрын
gmckd it is incredible timing that this was released the day before we found out about Bob Woodward’s interviews with Trump in Jan/Feb where Trump admitted he knew it was dangerous and a huge threat to the country. Just a couple of thoughts on what was said in the video: 1) "The truth is: normal is long gone." Given the likely depth of the economic fallout from the covid pandemic, closely followed by rapidly increasing and widespread disruptions due to climate change, I think we have seen the end of normal. We're now in for a continuous streams of painful living adjustments. In other words, there will be no more normal. 2) "The casualness by which this president is willing to accept American casualties, you sort of can't get your head around." I actually don't think it's possible for healthy, functioning people to even remotely understand how Trump thinks, except for psychologists and maybe close family members who have watched such an illness evolve from childhood. I liken it to my inability as a male to understand what it's like to carry and give birth to a child. It's all foreign to me; nothing in my experience can be used as a basis for real understanding.
