I was so CRAZILY happy to see AP win the TC!!!! My husband's not a race fan, but I made him watch All 3 races. I danced like a mad fool around our living room, I was ecstatic!!!! Finally, a TC winner! I'm 60, and I saw Secretariat win the TC, and two since him. But after 37 years of no TC winner, you have to understand my excitement. Hubby didn't get, but i was off-the-map happy!!!!!

Brenda Dale I had never seen a winner before and I watched it with my mom. We were screaming and crying and he kicked away in the stretch of the Belmont. It was something I'll never forget.

My grandma Margaret loved horse racing and we went to Sunland Park in El Paso Texas frequently when I was a kid. What a sight to see an incredible story like this period maybe one day I'll get to go to 1 of these big races. Thank you to everybody that works in this business and work so hard and cherishes these animals and the strength they stand for

i just loved the ending when he held his head up and let all those people pet him and just take dozens and dozens of photos what a horse love you Pharoah! i can't wait to see your firstborn and of course, have a happy healthy retirement champ!!!

Thank you all for the kind comments! I rewatched this video for the first time in a great while and it brought tears to my eyes as I reminisced his legendary career. He has done something only 11 other have done, and he had done something no one has done--The Grand Slam. I hope he passes that excellent stride and hind end engagement to his foals.

Helen HayesLoane they’re related, but due to records, Secretariat could’ve beat AP without really trying. Secretariat ran more than 2 seconds faster than AP in the Belmont, was pulsar beaten him by a 1/16 mile. Also, AP has no world records. Secretariat had 2. The Breeders Cup didn’t exist in Secretariat’s time, otherwise he would’ve been the first Grand Slam Winner
