I know Junkyard Dave really well. I went to school with him...played football with him. He's really a good guy. He's always been known for hanging on to his stuff.

Can confirm. Will never forget him scoring four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, "Spare Tire" Dixon.

About 20 years ago my grandpa had some guys randomly stop and ask about an old ford he had. Wasnt advertised as for sale or anything... anyways he said he had a bad feeling so when they left he ran a chain thru the hood latch and padlocked it to the frame rail. Sure enough, 2 days later he came out and the hood was all bent up where they tried to pry it open
